News feeds from the ECGI

Feeds from websites, also known as RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds, allow you to keep track of the latest information from any number of websites from your internet browser without having to visit all the websites you have taken the feed from.

There are two basic ways to access these feeds:

if you visit a site which has the RSS logo , you can usually click that logo and you will be taken to the latest feed. Then, if you are using Windows Explorer as your internet browser, by clicking the button, you can subscribe to the feed. If you are using another browser, you will be given instructions how to add that feed to your news reader (see below).

There are a number of different news readers available and new versions are appearing all the time. Different news readers work with different browsers, so you will need to choose one that will work with the browser you use most. To find this, you should search for 'RSS News Reader [name of your browser]'

Some of these news readers allow you to search for, and then add, news feeds from other websites.

On the ECGI website, there are three feeds. Click the RSS logo against one or all of the feeds to which you wish to subscribe:

Main news items from the ECGI Subscribe to the ECGI news feed
New additions to the ECGI Working Paper series Subscribe to the Working Paper feed
New additions to the ECGI Codes database Subscribe to the ECGI codes feed

Then, whenever new items are added in these three areas, the next time you visit your news reader, you will see the additions.

If you have any questions about this, please contact the ECGI webmaster.
